360 Aerial Panorama, Perth
Over the last year or so I’ve been working on stitching images from the air to create massive aerial panorama’s but there’s been quite a few issue’s with doing this. However, the problem’s have been solved and this is the first 360 aerial panorama of the new technique.
Taken from the helicopter, it’s an 11 image stitch taking in a full 360 degree view of Perth, Western Australia - at 1000ft. I do have to thank Paul (pilot), for keeping the helicopter steady – now it’s time to do more of these over other locations around Perth.

Hey Colin,
Are you looking at printing this. I actually like the idea of this genre you are getting into and would be interested in purchasing one of my home town. Its a rather cool perspective. Maybe printed and then put onto a sheet of slim line aluminium aka Fitzgeralds Printing Perth ?

Adrian,
Printing will be on the card’s, however at 11 vertical images the print would need to be a minimum of 40in. to look reasonable. There’s still more to this aerial panorama project though, you’ll have to wait a few more day’s?
Where’s your hometown? Or did you mean Perth?
